ISCEA announced that ISCEA Ptak Prize is offering 1000 scholarships for 3rd and 4th Year Saudi Arabian University students. The scholarships allow the eligible students to obtain Internationally Recognized, CSCA (Certified Supply Chain Analyst) qualification free-of-charge. This initiative is to support the Kingdom’s Supply Chain and Human Capital Development goals over the next ten years. Each year ISCEA Ptak Prize will award 100 scholarships with the total value awarded more than US$1,000,000.
“We are delighted to make this program available to the future leaders of Saudi Arabian businesses. This scholarship program is ideal for those planning to enter the field of supply chain management whether they are directly or indirectly involved with customers, suppliers, flow of materials, flow of information, or part of improvement initiatives such as creating a lean supply chain,” said Dr. Charles A. Watts, executive director of Education and Certification at ISCEA. This program also will get these students to network with ISCEA CSCMs, many who hold mid to upper management position in major organizations in Saudi Arabia.
The Government of Saudi Arabia anticipates over US$100 billion investment over the next 10 years within Transportation and Logistics Sector between the Base Economy & Economic Cities. ISCEA is thrilled to be part of this growth in the Saudi supply chain and wants to assure that of these future leaders will be successful. Current University students are encouraged to apply for the ISCEA Ptak Prize Scholarship for the CSCA program. To apply for the Scholarship, those interested needed to send a one page essay on their thoughts on how to improve the Supply Chain Operation in The Kingdom. They can also create a YouTube clip in place of the written essay. Applicants essay or the web link to their YouTube clip needs to be emailed to ISCEA Global Desk at PtakPrize@iscea.net. The entries must be received by August 31st and winners will be announced on September 15th. The winners will then be invited to attend the Awards Ceremony at the Saudi Supply Chain Conference and attend a two day exam prep workshop and exam session in November.
